“Sustainability means ownership and ownership starts with knowledge.” In this video, Mr. Edson Nkonde, Director of the Zambia Meteorological Department (ZMD), emphasizes the importance of training and capacity building to ensure that Zambia’s new meteorological network continues to deliver value for years to come. Through hands-on training and technical support, #CampbellSci helped ZMD’s team to maintain and manage the 120 automatic weather stations, ensuring that this World Bank-funded TRALARD project continues to strengthen national and GBON-compliant weather observations long into the future.
