How to make a simple local Wifi/Bluetooth connection between a CR6 and Andriod

Michael Lily Feb 12, 2026 08:21 AM

Hello,

Looking for a simple way to make a local wifi with a CR6, either through its USB port, or serial port with an android phone that has LoggerLink installed. Would like to use Loggerlink to connect with the CR6 from close range, no need for internet (WAN) connection, application will be mainly used in remote locations with no communications access. An NL241 seems overkill for this application.

Thanks for any input!

Michael

There used to be a product called Airconsole 2.0 that worked. Connecting to the logger required plugging a USB to RS-232 cable into the USB port of the device. Looks like that company is in decline, because I only see the accessories for sale on their website.

Carrying an NL241 from site to site does work. It would be configured as an access point/ host the network.
