How to dump the CR1000 data by TCP or Hyperterminal

igor2012 Sep 21, 2015 01:08 PM

Hi Forum,

I upload a modified program to a CR1000 (add extra channel), but i forgot to download the data, now every thing is working but i need to download old data. There is data available after i upload the program. The system is a remote CR1000 with TCP connection.

I have seen in and old post that i can dump the memory through hyperterminal, i used hyperterm but i got confused with address, swath, and things alike, could you explain me further how to do it?...

I am not newbie just forgot cause i was in a hurry :)

Thanks,
Igor.

There is a slim chance of data recovery at this point. Collect your new data first! Then connect to the datalogger using the latest version of the Device Configuration Utility. Under the Backup menu there is a Data Recovery selection; follow the instructions there. The datalogger needs to be in the same state it was in when it generated the now missing data.

Good luck!

Hello Janet,

I appreciate your help, i downloaded the latest version of the Device configuration Utility and did the procedure in a local CR1000 here i have in my schack, even i replicated the same error i did...and it worked!, so tomorrow i will go to the site (country side) and will run the device conf. program on the troubled cr1000.

Thanks a lot!
Regards.
Igor.
