Set/Change Default Directory for Loggernet Custom Data Collection

Terrapin May 3, 2017 08:35 PM

Does anyone know how to change the default directory for Custom Data Collection in Loggernet?  By default data files are saved in: C:\CampbellSci\Loggernet.  I would my data saved to another directory I specify without having to change the path for each of my 30 stations.  Any suggestions?

Open the Device Configuration Utility and connect to the datalogger, then set the "Destination Directory" under the "Data Collection" tab.

Thanks for the tip.  I'll check that out. I'll be curious to see if setting the Destination Directory in DevCon also sets it in Loggernet.

While the device configuration utility is installed with and somewhat integrated with LoggerNet, it is an application in its own right and does not modify the configuration of LoggerNet clients in any way.  Just because devconfig stores the last location for data collection does not mean that the connect screen will be able to read this and/or use it.

...device configuration utility ...does not modify the configuration of LoggerNet clients in any way...

So what is the appropriate method for changing the default directory?  It would be great to have this clarified, since it doesn't seem to be stated in any of the documentation that I have searched.
