CR300+Wifi+Yagui antena

GRM May 11, 2017 04:45 PM

Hello,

I want to install a CR300Wifi datalogger station in a place with difficult acces to download the data manually,

So i think in use CR300 Wifi to download the data witout be phisically connected  to the stations, and avoid climb to the location or similar difficult things.

I have some question hope you can help

1.- With the standard antenna (16005 model) connected to the CR300, what distance between the computer and CR300 you think is reasonable to think to download the data? (The CR300 will be Acces point and the Laptop or cell phone will be client)

2.- Is possible to hide the access point addres so no one can see the Wifi Acces point unless they know specific accespoint addres

3.- Is possible to connect other antenas to the CR300 like yagui antennas or omni with bigger gain to obtain more transmision distance? or this can damage the datalogger?

Thank you in advance

Regards

The maximum Wifi can go with high gain antennas is 100 meters.
